Amazing Christmas Gifts You Won’t Find On The High Street

Christmas feels like it has come around far too quickly. My baby girl is almost six months old, I mean, where has that time gone?! To get in the festive mood, the folks at Uncommon Goods asked if I wanted to check out their awesome range of unusual and memorable Christmas gifts to help with the present-buying process.

Here are some of my top picks but, shhh, don’t let Everleigh know that this is what she’ll be getting…

As it’s her first Christmas we want to make it a good ‘un, so deciding on a perfect gift has been tricky. She would be as pleased with the mega-sensory wrapping paper than the present inside, so I’ve decided to go down the practical route…

Bamboo Suction Baby Plate Set £15.11

Okay, so cutlery is probably not high on kids’ wish-lists but as we are very soon about to enter the fun weaning process I wanted to get her something she would use. This bamboo bowl and plate set is perfect for any mishaps we may have when she gets her first taste of pureed veg! To be honest I’m kicking myself for not getting a pair of taco booties for Everleigh. Yup, taco booties! For other gifts for children then give this a gander.

I couldn’t help but pick myself something up too. As an author I was drawn to anything bookish and the range of cool bookworm goods would be fab in the stocking of any self-respected reader. The library card socks and Pride and Prejudice tumbler in particular were too cute not to add to my shopping list. I’ve also got my eye on some other gifts for mum that I’d be more than happy to receive. Hint, hint, husband…

Library Card Socks £7.56

Taco Booties £18.89

Literary glass £10.58

Speaking of my better half I opted for the personalised record doormat. He’s a huge music fan and is very talented guitar player so the mat with our first dance song will add a special touch to our home. Check out more unique gift ideas for men right here.

Personalised Record Doormat £26.45

Uncommon Goods, which provides a platform for artists and small manufacturers to share their wares, are based in New York but ship to the UK. They have even donated more than $1,000,000 in their Better To Give programme  to non-profit organisations, which makes splashing the cash a lot easier.

There’s less than a month to go until the big day, have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
