*Ooh new NotWedorDead series klaxon alert*

Talking about travelling, writing and erm cakes are my true passions in life. Even better when all three things collide. But I thought it may be fun for you to see what else makes me happy, which is why I’m starting this new series to update you on everything that has put a smile on my face over the last seven days.

So, on this so-called day of rest why not grab a cuppa and take an gander into what’s been rocking my world over the past week ….

// Write //

I sent off the final (eeek!!) edits for Destination India at the start of this week. This novel has actually been a dream to write from start to finish and I cannot wait for you to get to see what adventures Georgia gets up to next. Personally I think it may be even better than Destination Thailand! The paperback and e-book will be out on 2nd June, I’m hoping you’ve marked this in your diary? But the good news is it can be pre-ordered now!

Now Destination India has been taken care of I have to get back to writing Destination Chile. It has been so great reminiscing over my trip to South America, especially as one of the ways I’ve been inspired is by reading Pablo Neruda love poems. Poetry is something I’ve never really explored but I’m now realising how much I’ve been missing out on. Neruda’s writing is just so dreamy and evocative that I’m desperate to lose myself in more of his wonderful words as soon as I can.

// Watch //

Mr Cian Twomey isn’t a name I’d heard of much but his bearded face kept filling my timeline so I decided to check him out. Oh my god. This funny Irish man had me snorting leek and potato soup from my nose as I watched his videos whilst eating lunch this week. My fave clip has to be the one where he nails exactly what it’s like to be tagged into facebook pictures that you wish you weren’t!

// Eat //

My mum received an early Mother’s Day gift in the form of a giant personalized cookie from Millies Cookies that my brother sent her this week. Well, I guess we know which offspring has got ALL the brownie points this year? Even if I did miss out on the best child award I sort of did win as I got to scoff loads of the gooey gorgeousness because my mum is off on her hols and it would have gone off otherwise …. #winning

// Treat //

To take a much needed break from my laptop screen I spent the day at the seaside eating salty chips whilst walking down the promenade, deciding that it is never too cold for a Mr Whippy and even winning big at the retro amusement arcades on the 2 pence games and walking away with a envy-inducing green plastic ring and a big cheesy grin. Go me!

As well as ALL of the above I’ve also been a busy ol’ bee writing loadsa blog posts this week, have you read them all?
