Life

Remember Me?

Oh hello, little space of the Internet. So sorry for going AWOL like that on you.

You see, it’s not you, it’s me.

Life has been a bit of a rollercoaster since I last posted ( … back in January - ahem).

We moved house again bringing our total number of house moves to four in three years (!!). This time we are staying put for a while as we became homeowners rather than renters. It felt very scary and grown up signing for the mortgage, especially because we would never be in this situation without the financial help from my late father. A very bittersweet move indeed. It has been a busy few months making the house our home and putting our stamp on it with copious trips to B&Q and Ikea but I feel like we are finally getting there.

Everleigh turned one at the end of May which felt like a real achievement. I’ve never been able to keep a plant alive for so long, let alone a human! Seriously though, she is an absolute joy and genuinely makes us laugh every single day.

I’ve also finished writing book 5 which i’ll post about separately because there is A LOT to say about this book! It’s currently sitting with my editor and I’m trying to keep busy to stop myself from overthinking what she makes of it. Luckily, I’ve had a lot on recently to keep my worrying brain from going into overdrive (seriously, five books in and the nerves don’t get any easier!).

Mum, Everleigh and I spent a wonderful few days exploring the South East on a three generations trip. All the details, pics and goss from that break will be on the blog very soon. It was very special to hang out with my fave females discovering a part of the world I didn’t know very well.

I didn’t have long after that girly trip before the passports came out as we headed off on our family Scandi road trip, ticking off three countries in 12 days with a one year old. Let me tell you, it was intense! Again, all the tips, tricks and info from this amazing adventure will be on here soon.

I feel like we’ve returned home with a bump as my laptop is on the blink, the car needs pricey work doing to it and we’ve got the holiday credit card to pay off - eek! Now would be a great time to help a gal out and pick up a summer read from the Lonely Hearts Travel Club (click here). Thank you.

I’ve missed sharing my crazy little life with you guys and I hope you’ve missed me too. I promise not to leave it so long next time. Tell me, what’s new with you?!

Katy xx
