The Cosmopolitan Influencer Awards are back and I’d love your vote! They are looking for your fave bloggers, vloggers and instagrammers and if you’re reading this right now then I hope you feel that way about moi!
I made it into the top ten of travel bloggers in last years awards but for some reason the travel category has been scrapped. So this year I’m in the ‘Best Use Of Social Media’ category, an area full of competition but as the saying goes you have to be in it to win it.
It would mean the world if you could cast your vote for me. It can get a little lonely writing and blogging, so to have feedback and online support like this gives such a massive boost, also to help me realise that I’m not just chatting to an empty space in the blogosphere!
I started this blog just before I was due to jet off on my own, desperate to swap heartbreak for happiness. Little did I know back then just how important this piece of the internet would become for me. How it has not only allowed me to share my story, connect with people from all over the world or build up my confidence as I wrote my tales, but it’s also where the idea for the Lonely Hearts Travel Club came from. Fast forward nearly four years and I’m soon to be releasing my third novel in the series (which you can pre-order here and comes out on Thursday). Eeeeeee!!
I’m going to be publishing some posts to help others start a blog as it has honestly changed my life. I know how dramatic that sounds but it has. It has also taught me to feel the fear and do it anyway, such as going skydiving in France, trekking the Himalayas, tumbling down a glacier covered volcano in Chile AND even entering into awards like this - crossing every finger and toe that others will give you their vote! *nervously bites nails*
I’m determined to make this blog full of travel tips, share my adventures and also relationship advice from going from a jilted bride to the Bridget Jones of backpacking (a name I still can’t get my head around!). I would also love to hear from YOU on what posts you’d like to see more of on these very pages.
