Ok so that’s March nearly done and dusted. Wow how fast has this month gone? Don’t you hate it when people say that? I think it’s a very British thing to both exclaim about the slightest change in the weather and also the speed of time, “Well I can’t believe we are nearly in April” “I know Christmas feels like it was only yesterday” accompanied by shocked faces as if someone sneakily shortened the month without telling anyone.
Anyhoo - Those who follow my blog will know that I was tagged in #MotivationalMarch by the lovely Tink Jayne and I have tried to keep you updated with my progress. So now we are at the end of the month how has #MotivationalMarch helped? Well it focused my mind, which can be easily led let me tell you.
Goal 1: Run Forrest Run
Yes I have dusted off my trainers and hit the streets which you can read more of here. I am going to start regular running posts to share my journey with you from wheezy sweaty mess to hopefully zen-like powerful runner. If you are on twitter you can find me here and follow my progress in more detail with the hashtag #NWODrun - You should even have a go yourself!
Goal 2: Switch off
This is one I think many of us can relate to: when you have a quick look at your social media/news sites/fave blogs and promise yourself you will just be five mins but you get sucked in and hours later you emerge with square eyes complete with an electronic tinge radiating from your corneas. The Internet, as much as I love it, can be one of the biggest time wasters in our lives, so I wanted to make a conscious decision to spend my time more wisely rather than half zombified watching yet another Youtube video on how to recreate the Frozen hairstyles. I would call this goal a work in progress.
Goal 3: Become a World famous author*
Ok so I have had the least progress on this goal. I have still been reading a lot but apart from jotting down these words you are reading right now the novel writing hasn’t got much further. You may have seen my review plus author interview with Rosie Blake from ‘How to Get a (Love) Life’ if not then grab a cuppa and check it out here. A book that I would highly recommend for the lols. I have, however, got some exciting book news coming on Tuesday so be sure to check back then.
*You’ve got to aim big…. right?!
So what’s next? An #AwesomeApril? Better get planning then. If you are setting goals to achieve next month then please let me know especially if they include running, books or the Frozen soundtrack.
