Destination India: It’s Publication Day!

Well, the day is finally here. The day when the second novel in the Lonely Hearts Travel Club, Destination India, is released into the world - a moment both incredibly amazing and also a little terrifying!

I flew back from Australia on Tuesday afternoon and spent most of yesterday in the clutches of jet lag and we all know how much I love that. Note the sarcasm. But I woke up desperate to enjoy every minute of today as having your words turned into a novel, and that novel being sold for anybody and everybody to read, is a complete dream come true. My last publication day was a complete whirlwind as my story broke when I was travelling in the Philippines and, well, it all went a bit crazy.

As amazing as it was hearing from people all over the world who felt inspired by my tale of turning being a jilted bride into the best thing that ever happened to me (and getting a six book deal in the process!) I was completely overwhelmed and probably didn’t let the fact that I was now a published author sink in.

This time, apart from the fug of jet lag and travel tiredness, I wanted to soak it all up. I had the biggest smile on my face reading tweets, emails and messages from wonderful readers, book bloggers and loved ones. I couldn’t contain myself at reading some of the early reviews that have come in especially at receiving 5* from Heat Magazine!

Being the second book in the series (you can read it as a standalone if you wish aswell) I was a little nervous that it had to do as well, if not better, than Destination Thailand. So hearing that people loved their brief trip to India without needing to leave their homes was brilliant and meant I could breathe a slight sigh of relief!

I headed to my local Tesco and had a little cry and an uncool jig in the aisle at seeing it on the shelf (next to the wonderful Giovanna Fletcher no less). I then found out it jumped to the number three spot in the iTunes chart. Wow. Just, wow. I shared all of this excitement on Snapchat too!

So, all I can say now is the biggest THANK YOU to everyone who has bought a copy, sent me their congratulations, read and reviewed Destination Thailand and Destination India. As you will see in the acknowledgements page you all mean the world to me and have literally helped make my dreams come true. Virtual squishy hugs for all.

You can grab a copy from Tesco, Asda, WHSmiths, and Easons. It is also Google Play’s top pre-order promotion for June and July.

Exclusive news – Destination Thailand and Destination India are both available on Audible.com as an audiobook. Plus, if you sign up here you can get your first book for free!

About the book:

Let yourself go…

Starting the Lonely hearts Travel Club was supposed to be the second chance that gave Georgia Green back her life. She thought it would be just like travelling, but the reality is far from rosy as she realises that starting a new business is definitely not a beach!

So when Georgia finds herself on an impromptu work trip to India she knows something’s got to give! Where has the girl gone who fought so hard to rebuild her life?

The land of Bollywood, gorgeous beaches and the Taj Mahal might just hold the key to Georgia finding her stride again… Only she is about to find out that when in India the country calls the shots – not you. But Georgia’s not going down that easy!
