I know I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, 2016 has been a year I will never ever forget. From this happening back in January to this crazy news in June - it’s fair to say that my feet haven’t touched the ground. Today those size sevens are further from the floor as my third novel in the Lonely Hearts Travel Club series, Destination Chile is released!
It’s quite rare for an author, especially a debut author, to have three novels released in the space of nine months. Let that just sink in … 3 books in 9 months. I feel like I need to pinch myself that I get to type that! Of course, having such a demanding schedule has brought with it a lot of challenges but I wouldn’t change a second of it and that’s because of you. One of my fave things since being the ‘backpacking Bridget Jones’ is the incredible support I’ve received. I can’t describe the feeling of seeing my books in your Instagram photos, it makes my heart sing reading your tweets and I get this urge to do a silly little dance every time someone gets in touch to tell me how much they have found comfort and inspiration in Georgia’s story.
I took a huge plunge into the unknown when I made the decision to leave my life behind to travel alone. I honestly never could have imagined that that moment of bravery (or madness, depending who you speak to) could ever have led me here: celebrating the release of my third novel!
But today is not only about me!
Oh no.
To celebrate the release of Destination Chile Tesco have very kindly offered £500 of Intrepid holiday vouchers for one lucky reader who picks up a copy in their stores. I know, that’s pretty nice of them!
So, if you’re in the UK and looking to take a trip that won’t break the bank then add Destination Chile (with a special sticker on the front) into your next shopping trip to be in with a chance to win. Good luck!
I have also been popping in on a few book blogs this week so make sure to visit their page to see what else I’ve been sharing about mine and Georgia’s adventures. Thanks to all the book bloggers who have been waving the flag for this series, I always knew bookworms made the best sort of people!
Before this turns in an Oscar-style speech thanking everyone who helped me get to this point (that’s what the acknowledgement pages in the books are for!) I still wanted to thank YOU for being so utterly incredible and supportive. I’m sending virtual hugs your way right now.
P.S If you enjoy reading Destination Chile or either of the others in the Lonely Hearts Travel Club series please add a short review/rating on Amazon. These are SO important for authors in terms of letting other readers find their work and spreading the word, plus it does wonders for boosting what can be a solitary lifestyle! Thank you!!
