I have a favour to ask.

You see, the Cosmo blog awards are back. Last year I was stupidly too nervous to enter but this year I’m feeling my fear and doing it anyway but I need YOU!
I started this blog, as some of you will remember, after being recently jilted before my big white fairy-tale wedding day. Heartbroken, is an understatement. But, I was determined to make something good out of a situation that felt so utterly crappy. I sold most of my belongings including my car, quit my job and packed everything up into a stupidly heavy lumpy backpack to travel solo for the first time ever in my life.
Since that decision I have ticked off my 30th country before my 30th birthday, flown past Mount Everest, hiked up the Himalayas, trekked up an active volcano in Chile, documented the trials and tribulations of living in France (especially when you don’t speak the language), and shared as many travel tips for backpackers and travellers to show you that if I can do it then anyone can!
YOU have been right there with me. For the ridiculous highs and pinch me moments and every awful middle of the night worries and ‘what if’ lows. I’ve tried to make sure that I was honest, open but above all positive to show you that that sometimes you can be that person who chooses a new path in life, no matter what others think or say.
I’ve been blogging for nearly three years and love my little space on the internet, I have no intention in stopping blogging any time soon! To me NotWedorDead brings me so much happiness, from writing post, taking photos and sharing this with you. Being shortlisted for the ‘Best For Travel Blog’ in the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards would just be the luscious cherry on the top of all of these experiences.
